If you are currently pursuing a degree in the ‘Information Systems’ field, then here is your opportunity to pursue an exciting summer internship opportunity with Raytheon!

This position is for an Intern student interested in the broad area of system security technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience in working in a teamwork environment, having not only academic, but also interpersonal skills to help optimize our teams. The single most important attribute is an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications to compliment your academic experience. Familiarity with hardware or software tools as appropriate for your academic level. The candidate should be interested in working in a highly motivated team environment, collaborating with a team of information security professionals. Our internship opportunities range from 10-16 week assignments and may include mentoring, special projects, and end of assignment presentations.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting a program security team in the development and enforcement of security procedures in accordance with company and government regulations and policies. These policies includes 5220.22-M National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), 5205.07 DoD Manuals Volumes 1-4, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG). This candidate must possess the desire to ensure security needs are established and maintained for various program security relevant objects/matters.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 2 years of start date.

Required Skills:

  • Experience working with and/or supporting computer technologies (such as: Microsoft Office applications, databases, or operating systems) through school coursework or prior internship experience.
  • Must be entering sophomore year in college by Fall 2020 – must have completed 30 hours of college and expected to graduate between December 2022 and August 2023.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 2 years of start date.

Desired Skill:

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
  • Experience with audit reviews such as: physical security, password administration, and SharePoint file access privileges.
  • Security+ or similar 8570 certification

Required Education:

  • Currently pursuing a BS / BA degree from a four-year university and entering as a college Sophmore by Fall 2020.
  • Must be working towards a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, or equivalent technical discipline. Must be appropriate grade level listed above.
