Job Description

An opportunity to work in a dynamic business area with the potential to drive successful business systems support to the SAS Program Finance community as well as lead SAS Finance efforts in Learning. The Business Processes & Systems (BP&S) team is primarily responsible for being the valued and trusted partner that provides business process and systems expertise across SAS Finance. This individual will work closely with enterprise, multifunctional and cross business SAS teams including partnering with program business managers, System SMEs, SAS financial planning, and SAS IT, as well as interfacing with Finance Leadership Team, Mission Area leadership, Program Office teams, and enterprise level teams, including the FSST and FLLT. Position will be responsible for leading the BP&S team as it relates to user support and process management of program finance tools including (but not necessarily limited to) APEX and PRISM EV, EDIT+, PMX, RPlan, MPM, CART, and wINSIGHT. This position will also be responsible for setting the strategic direction for business processes and systems in SAS Finance and will be the lead for SAS on the Finance Systems Strategy Team (FSST), which develops the same strategy for Raytheon Finance. The role will lead all Learning efforts for SAS Finance and serve as the SAS Learning lead on the Finance Learning Leadership Team (FLLT). This position will need to focus on process efficiency, as well as automation and standardization across all programs/mission areas within the organization. Developing relationships, communicating to leadership, positive personal interactions as well as exhibiting a sense of urgency and achieving results are mandatory. Appropriate collaboration with stakeholders is essential.
This is a key SAS Finance position providing all learning support to the Finance Organization. This person will be managing several major areas including the role of SAS Finance Learning Champion which includes defining learning objectives for the Finance Organization, developing courses to support the objectives, instructor and SME recruitment, competency modeling, cross functional integration and tracking learning metrics. The position will be a partner with HR in developing the College and Intern plan, as well as lead SAS in the expansion of the Enterprise Onboarding Program for new hires and early career training initiative project. The objectives will be to create networks for new employees to collaborate, discuss common issues, provide appropriate training and ensure on-boarding is successful. Another responsibility includes the SAS FLDP coordination. This includes interviewing, hiring and rotation placements for SAS.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with key members of the Finance organization, partnering with Program Office Teams, tools SMEs, SAS IT and enterprise level teams
  • Manage team of approximately 15, including direct reports
  • Serve as the SAS Finance lead on the Finance Systems Strategy Team (FSST), responsible for setting the strategic direction for business processes, systems, and tools in SAS Finance
  • Serve as the SAS Learning lead on the Finance Learning Leadership Team (FLLT)
  • Key participant in SAS Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) recruiting and hiring process
  • Leverage SME and system processer expert knowledge to automate, standardize, and develop lasting systems solutions across all programs/mission areas within the organization.
  • Lead a team of system and process experts to identify best practices across the programs/mission areas, and document, share and robustly implement them across the organization
  • Strong understanding of the Mission Area processes and support required
  • Act as the key liaison and expert for SAS Finance in companywide initiatives for process and systems standardization
  • Lead learning, onboarding and early career training efforts as described above, as well as other retention projects for SAS Finance

  • Must be a proven leader, capable of managing multiple disciplines and managing managers.
Desired Skills:
  • Working knowledge of BP&S supported tools (e.g., PRISM/APEX EV, PMX, ETC Tools, EDIT+, MPM, CART, Program Metrics)
  • Experience managing a team in multiple locations
  • Experience supporting classified programs through system deployments and upgrades, including IA and IT process
  • Practical experience in applications of EVMS, Cost and Schedule Integration, and EAC preparation
  • Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel functions
  • Experience in training and/or mentoring employees
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
