We have an exciting opportunity for you as a Manager, Program Contracts leading a portfolio of Subcontracts/task orders from other major Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS) Prime Contractors. In this dynamic program environment and highly visible role, you will provide significant Contracts leadership to the program and your team of Contracts Professionals. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Contracts for the Missile Defense Product Area within Mission Systems and Sensors (MSS) Business Area of Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems (IDS).

The Manager of Program Contracts will effectively support multiple Program managers in support of program goals, proposal development and submission, negotiation, contract compliance, managing contractual issues, and apply overall business acumen to the performance and growth of the product area.

What will you be responsible for?
  • Day-to-day management of multiple subcontracts from Prime Contractors
  • Supporting the development of strategic BMDS offerings
  • Identifying and managing contract changes to ensure successful program performance
  • Developing customer focused solutions to meet the warfighter’s needs and mitigate contractual/program risk
  • Managing and building customer relationships both externally and internally


Required Skills:
  • 10+ years’ experience in domestic and/or international government contract management, law or business administration
  • Proficiency in contacts “common body of knowledge” (i.e. FAR, DFAR, PGI, ITAR, EAR, TINA)
  • Experience negotiating contract terms, conditions, and change management
  • US Citizenship is required and ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex negotiations, managing customer expectations and contract execution focusing on cost, schedule, and performance
  • Experience researching compliance issues, applicable regulations and law, and formulating recommendations to management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Knowledge of financial business principles and their applicability to government contracts
  • Experience working sole source and competitive US Government programs/pursuits
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize risk elements in business transactions
  • Experience supervising, or mentoring others
  • CFCM or other professional certification
  • Master’s Degree
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Contracts, Marketing, Supply Chain/Purchasing, or Law with 10+ years’ experience or an advanced degree with 8+ years of experience
