As part of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Integrated Business Team, the Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) System team fulfills cradle to grave responsibilities for delivering the world’s most advanced air and missile defense systems globally. This position will report to the Launcher Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead and will regularly interact with IPT and Program leadership on strategy, status and direction. This position will be responsible for overseeing the on-time delivery and favorable cost performance of the MRAD Launcher product line across multiple programs.

This lead will be responsible for assuring quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency of MRAD Launcher system and components in accordance with contract requirements and with the planned budget and schedule. This position requires broad-based skills in leading a cross disciplined team, including design engineering, specialty engineering, test engineering, supply chain, quality, and operations. The candidate will apply disciplined program management processes and tools and will regularly interact with senior Raytheon leadership on strategy, status and direction.

Required Skills:

  • 10 + years of relevant project management experience, preferably for air defense systems, or equivalent
  • Experience in a production environment for entire Product Life Cycle from material release through contract sale
  • Experience implementing, EVMS, Risk & Opportunity Management, and IMP/IMS
  • Experience in leading a team including members from Engineering, Operations, Integrated Supply Chain, and Quality
  • Experience creating and briefing succinct presentations to senior leadership
  • Experience with IPDS
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Existing Secret Clearance (DoD)

Desired Skills:
  • 5+ years of Program Management/Leadership experience
  • Direct experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking to cost and schedule
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing and diverse teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative fashion with diverse teams
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Experience working on the Medium Range Air Defense Systems (NASAMS, HAWK)
  • Experience with managing through organizational change and rapid growth
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and collaboration
  • Ability to obtain PMX Certification
  • Multinational experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced dynamic environment with time critical requirements
  • Strong communication skills

Required Education (including Major):

B.S. / B.A. in Engineering, Science or Mathematics or equivalent
