Job Description:

This position is a member of the Training and Logistics Services (T&LS) organization within Raytheon’s Engineering Function. Candidate will utilize subject matter expertise and knowledge of training methods, standards, and techniques to document and deliver procedures for an operations system. Candidate will be responsible for developing, editing, and instructing Computer Based Training (CBT) modules and documentation. Candidate will be responsible for coordination with various engineering functions to collect, confirm, and verify knowledge of subject in preparation for documentation development. Candidate will apply Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles and concepts to support the development of ancillary training materials. Position may require interface with customer and other internal program organizations in separate geographical locations. Candidate must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines. Candidate will identify, schedule, and report status on discrete tasks.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years Training experience
  • Familiarity with the Software (SW) development life cycle
  • Experience documenting operations procedures and incorporating into Training material
  • Experience Training end users of SW applications
  • U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated application of Instructional Systems Design skills
  • Experience working with Captivate SW and other Adobe and Microsoft suite products
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and produce a SW Training product with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate software features and functionality to a technical user group
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize assignment schedules under general direction
Required Education (including Major):
  • B.S./B.A. in Training, Instructional Design, Engineering, or related technical field and 5 years of experience.
