Raytheon Intelligence Information and Services (IIS) provides technical, scientific, and professional services for defense, federal, and commercial customers worldwide. OPPORTUNITIES ARE SHIPBOARD ON AN OCEAN-GOING MARINE VESSEL, WORKING EXTENDED HOURS FOR MULTIPLE WEEK ROTATIONS

Evaluates, recommends, installs, and supports the Sea Based X-Band (SBX) local area network (LAN) hardware and software. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, computer systems, etc. Archives data, transfers archived data off of the marine vessel, and performs configuration management of system software. Manages user accounts and system security settings. Supports mission operations staff and works closely with data processor and signal processor system engineers. Maintains system software and hardware to include operating systems (Solaris, HP-UX, Windows, Red Hat Linux, NetApp Data ONTAP and Cisco IOS) and diagnostics. Works extended rotations (multiple weeks) on an ocean-going marine vessel. This position will perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission.
Required Skills: Six years computer systems administration and maintenance experience with a heterogeneous network of systems in a LAN and/or WAN configuration. Network administration and fault isolation/troubleshooting experience with Cisco hardware and switch/router configurations. Familiarity with UNIX to include the ability to write and understand Perl and shell scripts and good troubleshooting skills.
Experience with the following:
  • Microsoft Windows Server including DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy administration.
  • UNIX hardware and operating system installation (including cabling and peripherals) and administration to include Solaris, HP-UX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar architectures.
  • NetApp filers and Data ONTAP operating systems.
  • Cisco router and switch installations and administration.
  • Provide training and the development of operating and preventive maintenance procedures for networked data processing systems.
  • Fabricating cables and other interconnects.

Desired Skills:
  • Current CompTIA Security+ and Red Hat RHCSA certifications.
  • ACAS and HBSS administration and maintenance experience.
  • VMware vSphere administration and maintenance experience.
  • RSA SecurID administration experience.
  • Familiarity with DoD DIACAP and/or RMF cyber-security risk management.
  • Experience in the management of computer system security actions and/or in the development of the procedures that support such actions.
  • Experience in the handling and safeguarding of classified national security information.
  • Experience in supporting engineering efforts concerned with the testing and evaluation of newly fielded and/or prototype systems.
  • Computer operations and maintenance experience in support of phased-array radar systems.
  • Knowledge of phased array radar technical principles.
  • Experience in coordinating technical matters with external vendors.
  • Software environments using Matlab, Apex, STK, and Oracle.
Work Environment: This position is required to possess and maintain a government issued Secret Security Clearance and a CompTIA Security+ certification, and successfully pass an annual mariner physical examination. Ability to live and work with others in confined spaces for long durations at sea. Exposure to heights will be required when being transported on and off the vessel and the ideal candidate will not be hindered by motion sickness.
Required Education (including Major): Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology or related field, or equivalent experience and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
