Job Description

Raytheon BBN Technologies Physical Sciences & Systems; Quantum Engineering and Computing Group seeks a creative, organized, people-centered candidate for the role of Program Manager to lead projects focused on scientific research and initial prototypes in emerging technologies. In this role, the Program Manager will conduct frequent interaction with our technical staff, possibly across multiple projects, while engaging and mentoring less experienced Principal Investigators. Responsibilities will include project planning, scheduling and reporting as well as communications with senior management and customers. Additional responsibilities will include command of company operations, policies and procedures and tailoring these practices to the needs of our projects and group activities. The candidate will join a highly entrepreneurial group which advances computation and communications technology by exploring quantum and optical phenomena.

Required Education and Experience:
• B.S., technical degree, business administration or other relevant discipline and 6 years of experience.
• Experience with US government funded programs as well as internally funded projects.
• Experience building relationships with external customers, internal support organizations, and senior management.
• Expertise in the MS Office Suite, including MS Project
• Experience with financial tracking, including the use of MS Excel
• Experience with task planning, staffing, and tracking of projects with multiple personnel as well as managing subcontractors and consultants
• Experience in dealing with government compliance processes such as export/import control
• Good written and verbal communication skills

This position requires either (1) US citizenship, (2) Permanent Residency, or (3) other suitable documentation to permit hiring if you are not a US citizen or Permanent Resident
