MGR III, Customer Engagement and Event Manager


Job Description:
The RMS Business Development & Strategy team seeks a Customer Engagement and Event Manager as a key leader within the RMS BD Operations organization. The Customer Engagement and Event Manager will be responsible to plan, coordinate and ensure the scheduling and logistics action plans for executive customer visits, including coordination of two customer engagement managers. In addition, the position will develop and manage related business performance metrics, work with the Corporate and Channel Relations Manager and support RMS business development sponsorships. The customer engagements manager will coordinate across the RMS product lines and the Raytheon business to ensure that key customer engagements are properly managed with all key parties and to ensure the logistics for these engagements are integrated and communicated to key stakeholders.

The Customer Engagement and Event Manager will be responsible for working closely with the office of the RMS Business President to assist in the quarterly planning of both domestic and international customer engagements for the RMS Business President and Senior Executives. The Customer Engagement leader will be responsible for coordinating across the enterprise to plan and successfully execute customer engagement activities.

The Customer Engagements Manager will also be responsible for working with the Corporate and Channel Relations Manager to execute the RMS Representatives and Consultants process and program. This includes supporting the domestic and international consultant needs of various products lines, representing RMS on related Corporate and Business Unit teams and managing the Corporate and Channel Relations Administrator.
Responsibilities include:
  • Partner with Business Development Executives across product lines on event planning; messaging and overall process management,
  • Create and sustain an active repository for BD customer engagement measures, metrics and content to create online and accessible environment enabling collaboration across RMS for real time access to artifacts
  • Develop and maintain cadence and overall calendar for coordination management of senior level customer engagements in partnership with US Business Development and Raytheon International, Inc.
  • Support key RMS collaboration activities to include senior executive discussions, leadership team meetings, RMS Events.
  • Identify, plan and manage RMS sponsorship for key business events
  • Develop effective communication channels across RMS and the Enterprise
  • Create and manage tradeshow metrics to include customer engagements, after action tracking, and closure plans within ERPM

Required Skills:
  • Ten plus years of progressive experience in business development
  • Experience and a proven ability to operate effectively in an independent, strategically focused role with strong interpersonal skills, independent judgment, and understanding of business needs
  • Proven ability to develop effective internal and external relationships through personal influence – proactive, responsive, consistent and persistent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to liaise and communicate with all levels of Executive/Senior staff and Customers
  • Ability to multi-task, be proactive and prioritize requests
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Computer skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, RSharePoint, ERPM, etc.); comprehensive skills in conducting research / searches on internet
  • Business acumen and sound judgment, with the ability to influence team behaviors to achieve results
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
