Job Description

Lead DCO Systems Engineer
Cheyenne Mountain AFS, Colorado Springs, CO

As the Lead Defensive Cyber Ops (DCO) Systems Engineer, you will be the primary subject matter expert and system administrator for the DCO team, providing advanced support for all systems to include Mission Assurance support requirements and be the SME, consulting with the DCO team on matters regarding DCO activities on the NISSC supported mission systems.

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead Systems and Network Administration activities necessary to maintain system operations
  • Manage other DCO Systems engineers
  • Consult with operational Mission Assurance Center support personnel regarding DCO activities
  • Interface with NISSC Information Assurance, Engineering and Network teams on behalf of the DCO team
  • Provide advanced Mission Systems expertise at the site and enterprise level
  • Lead all mission systems DCO activities, ensuring system availability as a result of these activities
  • Work with DCO function to determine resources and capabilities required to support current and "to-be" fielded systems
  • Occasional travel for training

  • Demonstrated, advanced knowledge of the CCIC2S Mission architecture and ITW/AA Mission, and ability to provide guidance, advanced systems and networking support, and training to DCO team members
  • Experience with direct support of the operational systems
  • Ability to configure and utilize network and application performance monitoring tools, such as OpNet, Wireshark, and native tools, and provide analysis of output
  • Advanced knowledge of the ITW/AA test and operational communications infrastructure
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with the CCIC2S systems and networks in the Operational environment
  • Ability to configure servers and network devices to support DCO toolsets
  • Ability to optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Current Security +
  • Active Top Secret/SSBI Clearance, clearable to TS/SCI
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering
  • Discipline & 6 years of applicable experience
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
