Job Description

The Electrical Engineer researches, develops, designs and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, sub-systems, and networks for defense, commercial, industrial, domestic and foreign purposes. Applications include, but are not limited to, radar, missile, ship systems electronics, torpedoes, and communication systems. The tasks may include laboratory integration, test and evaluation, and fault isolation of prototype hardware. The engineer may also support proposals, system studies, analyses, and simulations from concept through detailed design and production. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation and experience in antenna engineering with specific knowledge in antennas, EM modeling techniques and associated best practice tools and processes.

Possible focus areas:
Antenna Design – Phased Arrays, Radiating Elements, Reflectors, Feedhorns, Radomes/Frequency Selective Surfaces, Simulation and Layout, Antenna Test

Antenna Systems - Antenna System Analysis, Array Analysis, Electromagnetic Analysis, Array Calibration, Signal Level, Assembly, Integration and Test

Antenna/Microwave Subsystems - Phased Array Subsystems, High Power Subsystems, Antenna Subsystems, Signal Level Analysis, Subsystem Integration and Test

Required Skills:

Ability to participate in advancing the state of the art with regard to antenna design and EM analysis, modeling and test with continual innovation.
Solid understanding of antenna engineering principles including phased array theory
Demonstrated ability to perform structured design processes, root-cause problem solving, and successful on-time / on-schedule task execution
Ability to obtain Secret clearance as well as the ability to obtain special access clearance(s)
Customer focus and collaboration skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Minimum of 2 years related work experience
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
U.S. Citizenship and ability to access US only data systems.


Desired Skills:

Knowledge of Electromagnetic simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS
Working knowledge of Matlab, and AutoCAD.


Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics or related technical degree
BS and 2 years, MS and 0 years, PhD and 0 years

Desired Education:
Master’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics or related technical degree


This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
