Job Description

The Global Supply Chain Management functional organization is in search of an experienced and strategic supply chain leader for a current Product Line Director opening. This Director will support a Core RMS Product Line which partners with US and Allied customers to provide innovative, high performance solutions that defeat air, missile and naval threats. The successful candidate will lead a team of 50+ that include material program managers, procurement professionals and property and logistics professionals at multiple sites. Responsibilities also include strategy development and execution for the Product Line and meeting business objectives. The Global Supply Chain Director will be accountable for current contract execution and future strategic sourcing decisions for a group of related, critical and complex technologies in a matrixed organization. This position will establish vision, set direction, develop a high-performing team, and drive results in the Global Supply Chain Product Line organization and will support multiple development and production programs in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment.

This function is responsible for but not limited to the following:
  • Material Strategy development and execution to drive margin expansion
  • Material Sales forecasting and execution
  • Estimate at completion management, performance and reporting
  • Leading in the collection and analysis of Supply Chain performance data to drive improvement and supplier performance execute critical technology management strategies across a key supply base, establishing advanced technical solutions in support of supplied product and supplier performance
  • Improve current supplier sources and develop future sourcing strategies through make/buy, competitive procurements and dual sourcing
  • Accountable to develop high-performing teams aligned with the Global Supply Chain vision and strategy and lead RMS/supplier change management efforts to support organizational growth
  • Product Line point of contact for Supply Chain escalation and issue resolution
Required Skills
  • 14 years’ experience; preferably including leading a large technical or manufacturing team with program and finance responsibilities
  • Experience understanding how to drive supplier performance within a profit driven business based on practical experience
  • Experience developing and managing financial forecasts and budgets
  • Experience in managing employee relations issues within varying levels of the organization
  • Ability to obtain Secret DoD clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated successful experience to include working within a Manufacturing Business with greater than 500 employees or previous related military experience
  • Demonstrated energetic, respectful and inclusive leadership
  • Demonstrated success in working with supply base and Global Supply Chain organizations
  • Ability to lead collaboratively with other managers in a results oriented environment to develop solutions for complex problems that will gain desired outcomes
  • Previous leadership position in a fast paced, complex technical or manufacturing environment that included multiple working organizations; this would include extensive experience building strong cross-functional teams with proven results
  • Experience building relationships with and influencing Functional and Program Managers, Directors, and Vice Presidents (or equivalents) to negotiate in difficult situations both internally and externally
  • Experience in cross-functional management of quality, operations, engineering and supply chain
  • Experience in a factory environment including understanding the technical aspects of Supply Chain or similar operations
  • Understanding of Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) product structures and product technical details
  • Problem solving abilities that bridge production realities to financial commitments

Required Education (including Major):Bachelor’s Degree; Preferably Engineering, Science or Mathematics; Master’s Degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred

This position can be located in either Tucson, Arizona or Huntsville, Alabama.
