Job Description

The Production Test Development Engineer will be responsible for development of software and hardware configuration items compatible with the Presidio ITAS Production Test System so as to be deployed to the SAS Largo Florida or Forrest Mississippi Consolidated Manufacturing Center. These configuration items include production test software, test equipment hardware, and hardware test adapters/modules. The dominant effort will be on the software side. The production test development engineer will be responsible for the configuration item design and verification, with support to new product introduction, corporate council support, bid/technical review, and continuous improvement for this system. The production test development engineer will report directly to the Section Manager and interact with functional management personnel.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 6+ years demonstrated engineering experience with proven track record.
  • Experience with system integration/test and system production test
  • Experience with aircraft and ground platforms and operating environments
  • Experience with National Instruments Suite of test products or similar
  • (i.e. TestStand, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with DoD communications equipment
  • Experience in integration, and/or verification and validation
  • Experience in Operations including production test, transition planning, installation, deployment
  • Experience working on a program managed using Earned Value Management
  • Experience with Agile Development and the DevOps culture
  • Experience with participating in Engineering Gate reviews
  • Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent.
  • Boundary Scan development
  • FPGA development/interface
  • Mentor Graphics for schematic capture and PCB design
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced IPT (Integrated Product Team) environment
  • Self-Starter and experience with distributed teams

Required Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering/Physics/Math or other related technical field

Desired Education: Master’s Degree in Engineering, Math, or Science

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
