Job Description

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Mixed Electrical Engineer with mixed signal electronics expertise to join our Space and Airborne Systems team. The individual will be responsible for digital and analog design of electronics used in Department of Defense communications and electronic warfare equipment. This is an expert level position that requires a high level of understanding of mixed signal circuit design and development. Responsibilities include design, test, and integration of new designs into larger systems and support to production activities.

Additional duties may include providing engineering leadership for an inter-disciplinary integrated product team. The candidate should be experienced in the use of earned value management metrics.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in mixed signal electronics design engineering
  • Proven ability to take a design concept at block diagram or requirements level and develop a completed hardware design
  • Expertise with Digital circuit design and Printed Wire Board Electrical Layout.
  • Experience with VHDL code development, simulation, and test
  • Hands on integration and debug experience with FPGA-based mixed signal or digital systems
  • Proven ability to use analytical tools to analyze and simulate designs prior to hardware execution
  • Experience with tolerance analysis and circuit design centering for production
  • Failure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation
  • Experience in resolving technical production issues
  • Expertise in Identifying and implementing circuit card and subassembly design updates
  • Ability to accommodate occasional travel to customers and vendors
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in earned value cost account management and schedule tracking
  • Knowledge of analog design techniques, including operational amplifiers, data converters, and power regulator designs
  • Experience with hardware beyond base band including RF synthesizers, mixers, combiners, splitters, and amplifiers.
  • Knowledge of RF circuit design and analysis
  • Experience working with a geographically dispersed engineering team

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline

Desired Education:

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
