Job Description

Join a team whose passion is to make the world a safer place. Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is an innovator and provider of the AESA Radar Systems which enable the war fighter’s edge. The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be involved with high-speed digital and optical CCA design. Candidate will have the opportunity to be mentored by one of the Raytheon SAS Digital Design SME. Candidate will also support existing designs providing additional opportunity for increased learning. This position can be located at any of our various SAS sites.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 6 years of related work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, 4 years with a Master’s
  • Working experience troubleshooting of existing designs with high-speed digital and high-speed optical components.
  • Working experience with digital and optical CCA design
  • Working Experience in ADC, DAC, PLL, SERDES design is a plus
  • Working experience with Design Capture and PWB layout process
  • Working experience with product release cycle
  • Strong desire to learn mixed signal component evaluation techniques
  • Experience with LabVIEW as an analysis application (or equivalent applications)
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Desired Skills:
  • Proficient with ECAD tools (Mentor Xpedition, DxDesigner)
  • A team player with a high level of initiative and the ability to work in an environment of rapidly changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Familiarity with Signal/Power Integrity Analysis
  • Familiarity with Whole Life Engineering Analysis
  • Familiarity with Thermal and Structural Analysis
  • Active Secret Security clearance
  • Experience with Matlab as an analysis application (or equivalent applications)
Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
