Job Description

Raytheon seeks a Senior RF Electrical Engineer I to join our RF design team at the Space Airborne Systems (SAS) operation.
The primary duties will be focused on tasks associated with Department of Defense communications systems and Electronic Warfare systems. The candidate will be expected to apply his or her RF technical knowledge and experience in specifying, designing and testing RF circuitry in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 20 GHz.

The Senior RF Engineer will work with a team of talented and experienced engineers in performing many core activities related to the development and testing of radio circuits and systems. Support for these activities may also include test fixture development, laboratory test setup, prototype circuit assembly and modification, results compilation, statistical evaluation, and trade studies. The candidate will be expected to provide creative and innovative solutions to problems and to ensure that tasks and projects are completed on schedule while following established procedures.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Required Skills:
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years RF design engineering experience
  • Must be able to demonstrated advanced ability to design and analyze RF circuitry in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 20 GHz.
  • Must have experience with Agilent Advanced Design System (ADS) Modeling software or equivalent
  • Must have a familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge in specifying, designing, and testing UHF/VHF/SHF receivers, exciters, synthesizers, and RF distribution circuits for Department of Defense Equipment
  • Experience with three dimensional electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS or CST Microwave Studio
Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
Desired Education:
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
