Job Description

Raytheon Secure Information Systems (SIS) produces the highest security encryption products to protect classified data and computing resources from cybersecurity attacks. With more than 100 NSA certified products, SIS solutions protect warfighter communication over land, sea, air and space.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience
  • Candidate will report directly to the SIS Engineering Department Manager
  • Act as the primary engineering interface to the Program Management Office (PMO) to represent and report on day to day engineering execution performance
  • Accountable for managing and reporting all cost and schedule performance on engineering related tasks applicable to the assigned program
  • Collaborates with the engineering Integrated Product Team to ensure that technical issues are understood, addressed immediately and solutions/corrective actions are implemented expeditiously
  • Work closely with the PMO and engineering leadership to ensure flawless technical execution and optimal engineering performance
  • Act as an enabler for assigned engineering staff and drive productivity by removing roadblocks and addressing help needed to improve program performance
  • Partner with program managers and engineering managers to develop and manage an executable staffing plan that meets the needs of all SIS programs. Reconcile and de-conflict competing priorities
  • Represent engineering in New Business Initiatives by developing Basis of Estimates in support of Requests for Proposals
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance performance and present opportunities for growth
Required qualifications:
  • EVMS certified and demonstrated proficiency in related processes, policies, tools and methods
  • Experience allocating budget, scope and constructing a meaningful and executable IMS
  • Strong interpersonal skills that advocate relationship building and collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Experience with process improvement (e.g. CMMI and R6S) that have significant impact on processes, systems, methods, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to flex one’s style to accommodate diverse audiences
  • Strong organization, coordination, planning and teaming skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work efficiently in a high-paced environment
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment and role requires access to US only data
Desired qualifications:
  • Experienced at leading hardware to software integration and system verification efforts necessary for the efficient integration and test, and sell-off of units, sub-systems and/or systems
  • Knowledge of government and/or commercial encryption products
Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related technical discipline
Desired Education:
  • MS Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
