Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity in technical planning and scheduling management? We are seeking a Process management and Formative Assessments Lead to join the Program Planning & Scheduling Department. The successful candidate will be a highly analytical, data driven, results oriented individual that engages with stakeholders, and facilitates closure of actions/commitments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, release, and control of IDS Program Planning and Scheduling process documentation (directives, standard procedures, work instructions, guidelines) and work closely with process owners and stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities. Formative assessment responsibilities include IMS independent reviews (IRs), oversight of assessment process for all JSA audit programs and IMP/IMS formative assessments throughout the life cycle of all IDS programs and provide immediate feedback to team members to improve Program Planning & Scheduling (PP&S) products and services. In this role, the ideal candidate will provide appropriate technical consulting, interfacing, analysis and training for Control Account Managers, IPT Leads, PMs and program personnel on IMS and all technical data associated with the IMS. This candidate will be the IDS PP&S point of contact for all internal and external audits as well as collaborate with other SMEs from other functional areas such as, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Business Process Management (BPM) to identify and recommend and implement process improvement opportunities. Work location is Tewksbury, Ma.


Required Skills:
  • Eight (8) plus years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with peers and program teams to maintain positive relationships while providing constructive feedback
  • Direct experience leading planning effort on a program with external EV reporting and DFARS EV clause invoked
  • Recognized as subject matter expert for understanding of Planning, Scheduling and EVMS process
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate affectively and influence program teams/business partners on adoption of recommendations and best practices
  • Direct experience with DCMA and JSA audit
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assessing an IMS against 81861 requirements or with the DFARS EV clause invoked; expert level understanding of Planning and EVMS
  • Familiarity with any of the following: Achieving Process Excellence (APEX) SAP/R3, Microframe Project Manager (MPM) or similar EVMS tools and software applications such as Oracle ERP, Deltek Cobra and Deltek MPM Connect
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)
  • Demonstrated experience with Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Raytheon Six Sigma (R6S) Specialist or similar certification
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver customer focused solution
Desired Skills:
  • Ten (10) plus years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated experience with Cost Estimating/BOE Generation
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited university or college in Electrical/Mechanical/Systems or other engineering discipline or science related major
