Job Description

Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community

Job Description:

Raytheon is currently seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to provide engineering support to a team responsible for maintaining and operating a high priority operational system.
Responsibilities include providing support to system functions, including development and maintaining scripts/web tools, software analysis and troubleshooting, identifying process improvements and software enhancements, and coordinating with other internal and external engineering teams, integration and test support. Integration efforts also include the development and execution of training to support future capabilities.


Required Skills:

  • Software skills/ Web development skills (PERL, JAVA, HTML/XML, C++, SQL, Wiki, JavaScript, MYSQL, Linux)
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a team player attitude
  • Organized, energetic, and professional
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and able to multi-task on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
  • Must be able to produce quality work with strict deadlines
  • Detailed oriented

  • Able to analyze and edit applications to improve functionality and optimize performance
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI Security Clearance prior to starting work

  • Excellent computer skills, well versed in commercial office applications
  • Able to exercise creative thinking to devise new and innovative ways to work


Required Education (including Major):

•Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Aerospace, Physics, Mathematics (STEM)
or related technical field (or a combination of education and equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree); plus a minimum of two years of prior relevant work experience
