Job Description

The planning and production control specialist understands and applies material management principles that enable them to develop solutions to a variety of problems in an operations and engineering environment. This person, will need to be a multi-tasker who will work directly with Program office and Engineering Designers and Test leads supporting program engineering acquisition, shipments, tracking receivables, movement of material, as well as expediting and searching for material availability in support of contract requirements. The person is expected to identify barriers and providing solutions to enable the engineering integration team and program office to meet the demands of our internal and external customers. The successful candidate must be able to coordinate activities between numerous groups and clearly communicate program material status and have the sense of urgency needed to succeed in this environment. The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate within an IPT environment. This individual will also be expected to promote Raytheon’s keys values, facilitate problem resolution and apply Raytheon Six Sigma.

Required Skills:
  • 2 years in production control or similar or equivalent work experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines including design engineers, material program leads, program managers, shipping/receiving, and mission assurance.
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel, Power Point and R-Mail.
  • Ability to multi task and work well under pressure with sense of urgency.
  • Must be well organized and a problem solver
  • Must be able to attain Secret Security Clearance
  • Working knowledge of SAP including PRISM desirable.
  • An understanding of the application and concepts of Production and Planning Control fundamentals including MRP, Inventory Management, and Lean Manufacturing a plus
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:
  • Material planning and order execution experience or similar
  • Fundamental knowledge of government contracting requirements
  • Program Management experience

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree desired (Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field)
