This position is eligible for a Sign on Bonus of up to 40k for a candidate with a current TS/SCI that can be verified and hired at Raytheon.



Job Description:
Raytheon IIS Hardware and Infrastructure (HW&I) Engineering team has an immediate opening for a Front End Processing (FEP) Hardware Engineers. This role will design and support deployment of a FEP equipment, including RS-422 switches, used as the interface between satellite command and control systems and Ground Terminal (GT) equipment. The qualified candidates will perform duties which include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Design a computer rack based set of Front-End Processing Equipment used to interface between Satellite Command and Control network and Ground Terminal equipment
  • Be the owner of a document set that fully describes the equipment needed for procurement and manufacturing
  • Coordinate with and support internal and external organization teams such as the Software, Product Design, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, Security, and Supply Chain Management Organizations
  • Be responsible for integrating and managing narrowband encryption equipment
  • Be the owner of a document set that fully supports the integration, deployment, and test of the rack and associated equipment
  • Serve as the technical POC for systems engineering and customer integration and operation
  • Provide system integration support

An active US Government TS/SCI security clearance is required as of day one of this assignment (US citizenship required).

Required Skills:
  • Experience with FEP hardware systems design and implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a schedule and process driven environment
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system issues and provide user support
  • Experience with bit, register, and discrete wire digital control system design and debug
  • Experience developing hardware/software interface documentation
  • Ability to develop and maintain detailed assembly drawings governed by a drawing control process
  • Active US Government TS/SCI security clearance (US citizenship required)
  • 6 years of related work experience
Desired Skills:
  • Digital and voltage test equipment experience
Required Education:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 6 years of related work experience.
