Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community

Job Description:

Raytheon is currently seeking an Operations EngineerII to support the Satellite Operations mission. The Operations Support Analyst is the primary interface for training, documentation, and standardization in the Satellite Operations area. This position will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and oversight of current and new training material. This material will be incorporated into current and new systems being delivered into the operations baseline including Job Qualification Standards, Task Analysis, documentation of any Operations and Maintenance deliverables, and any required customer documentation. This position may be required to represent the customer at local technical exchanges and serve as the Subject matter expert when called upon. This position will also require the candidate to liaison between the different work centers to achieve all training milestones throughout the team.

Will work in a closed environment where frequent and direct interaction and collaboration with customers and peers is ordinary.



Required Skills:
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in an engineering subject, plus 2 years related experience, or 10 years related experience without degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Requires a current and active TS//SSBI security clearance.
Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. An active TS/SCI SSBI security clearance and U.S. Citizenship required

Desired Skills:
  • Current Counter Intelligence polygraph
  • Three or more years’ experience performing satellite mission support in a near real-time operations environment.
  • 2 or more years of applicable training/ISD (Instructional System Design) experience.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours on occasion
  • Desire to attain and maintain section certification
  • Awareness of development and integration product life cycle
  • Typically prior military experience is helpful
  • Experience working in direct support of customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of training methodologies and protocol
  • Experience performing technical training
