Position: Senior Principal Technical Planner

Job Description:

The successful candidate will partner/coach/support Program Managers, Capture Managers and program teams in Schedule Optimization techniques, including a focus on Subcontract performance improvement activities and Critical Chain deployments. She/He will create standards, enablers and flow down of PM, EV and IMS requirements to subcontractors and IOTs, to ensure compliant and sufficient insights into IMS reporting are provided for management oversight. This SME will work with teams to ensure appropriately tailored and compliant approaches to integration of the Subcontract/IOT/Operations scope of work into IMS providing sufficient details satisfying both program leadership needs for the execution plan and applicable EV requirements. Additionally, this candidate will lead schedule optimization, improvement and acceleration engagements using techniques such as critical chain, and partner with planners on schedule development for Raytheon program teams as well as subcontractors.

The individual will be engaging with program teams and SCPMs to review, recommend and approve approaches to flow down and implementation of requirements supporting subcontracts management and integration. She/He will support development and deployment of standard processes and approaches, and advocate for their use. She/He will teams through the process of selecting the appropriate approach for their program, as well as the correct methodologies to use for compliance and effective management of subcontractors as well as effective acceleration techniques for their programs overall.

Required Skills:
  • 10 + years of professional experience in Technical Planning, Program Management and/or Program Planning & Scheduling
  • Experience leading a team of planning/scheduling professionals
  • Microsoft Project Server experience
  • Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process
  • Direct experience leading planning effort on a program with external EV reporting and DFARS EV clause invoked
  • Direct experience with DCMA and JSA audit
  • Direct experience with integration of subcontractors and operations into program plans, schedules and financials tracking.

Desired Skills:
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling
  • Demonstrated customer facing experience in leadership role
  • Experience in subcontracts management and MRP systems
  • R6S Expert or Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification
  • Familiarity with any of the following: Achieving Process Excellence (APEX) SAP/R3, Microframe Project Manager (MPM) or similar EVMS tools and software applications such as Oracle ERP, Deltek Cobra and Deltek MPM Connect
  • Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assisting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in planning, scheduling and cost estimating tasks
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver customer focused solution
  • Master's degree in Mgmt desired

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or related STEM field of study
