IDSManufacturingEngineering(MfgE)providespremierengineeringandmanufacturingsupportexpertiseto enableon-time,lowestcosthardwaredeliverywithperformance and reliabilitythatexceedcustomerexpectations.MfgEexecutesacross all phases of a programincludingproposalcapture,processdevelopment,transitiontoproduction, and productionsupport.

ManufacturingEngineering'sengagementwithRaytheonproductsisnotjustlimitedtoRaytheonmanufacturingsites.We supportourlargesuppliernetwork and internationalbuilds with deploymentofengineers.Theseengineershelptotroubleshoot and resolvesupplierissuesbeforetheycomeintoRaytheonfactories;aswellashelping to integrateMajorEndItems(MEIs)atdomestic and internationalsites.

JobDescription:

ManufacturingEngineersdesign,control,andimprovethemanufacturingprocessand systemdesignthrough a collaborativeeffortwith the valuestreamteam.Youwouldapplyyourskillstoreducecycletime and customerleadtime,improveproductivity,andreducematerialcost.


SpecificResponsibilitiesInclude:
  • Transducer assembly (mechanical assembly, bonding and potting) experience desired
  • Plastic welding or extrusion or molding experience desired
  • Developing undersea product line assemblies; including manufacturing processes
  • Developingtooling/die design conceptsInterfacingwithcustomersandsuppliers
  • Pro-Engineer/3D Modeling capability desired
  • Understanding of DFMA Principles
  • Planningandincorporationofdesignchanges
  • Creatingand overseeingprojectsusingriskmanagementtechniques
  • Translatingengineeringdesignrequirementsintoformalmanufacturingprocessdocumentation
  • Dispositiondiscrepanthardware
  • Leadingcorrectiveactioninvestigationstopreventrecurrence
  • Participatein processimprovementinitiatives
  • Providingtechnicalleadershiptomulti-disciplinedteams
  • Developingwork celllayoutsandcriticalliftprocesses
  • Conductingsafety/ergonomicassessments
  • Generatingandmaintaininglaborstandards
Thispositionwillrequireinteractionwithseniorpersonnelonsignificanttechnicalmattersoftenrequiringcoordinationbetweenorganizationsand / orsuppliers with sometravelrequired.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
