Job Description

The Microelectronics department in Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems’ Hardware Engineering Center is seeking an experienced responsible engineering authority for physical design of Digital Integrated Circuits in support of System-on-Chip Development Team specifically for ASIC development.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 4+ years of related work experience
  • Digital design and digital layout in support of system-on-chip Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) Developments for Space & Airborne Systems as evidenced by at least 4+ years’ experience in one or more of these areas
  • Proficient in VHDL and Verilog HDL languages as evidenced by at least 3-4+ years’ experience in one or more of these areas.
  • At least 3-4+ years of ASIC Synthesis and Static timing analysis design experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience with ASIC vendors and technologies such as GlobalFoundries 45nm or 14nm.
  • Experience with scripting language such as Python, Perl, TCL, tk, etc
  • Experience with UNIX/LINUX operating environment
  • Experience with the Cadence or Synopsys layout tool suites
  • Ability to handle a dynamic environment and to coordinate actions, fast learner. Demonstrates initiative, ability to work independently towards program goals.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with digital ASIC floor planning, routing, timing closure, and test insertion.
  • Experience designing and/or verification of digital ASICs
  • Experience with verification languages (UVM, SystemVerilog, SystemC)
  • Expertise in Xilinx and Microsemi FPGAs tool suites (Virtex 7 Series, Utrascale/ +)
  • Experience writing low level embedded software (C, C++)
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team, providing technical and schedule status to management, customers and fellow team members.
  • Proven customer-oriented personality. Experience presenting to and interfacing with customers and/or vendors (internal and external).

*Required Education:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent

Desired Education:
Advanced degrees in related fields or technology a plus.
