Job Description

Raytheon is looking for individuals with a track record in mixed signal design to work with our team of experts within the Receiver and Exciter Hardware Design Group. You will be working with a talented team on the development of next generation Receiver Exciter technologies for Airborne Radars.

A successful candidate will be experienced working in a high octane environment and engage in the detailed design, analysis, trade studies, simulation and test of high speed mixed signal circuits and module assemblies. The candidate must be experienced using CAD tools and have detailed experience using lab equipment.
Design and test experience in arbitrary waveform generation is required. Work experience in designing & verifying FPGAs, high speed DACs, Microwave Integrated Circuits (MICs) and/or Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), Module and Unit level experience along with a broad understanding of Receiver Exciters and System\u2019s level requirements is preferred, although a mixture of such experiences is acceptable.

Candidate should be able to work from requirements to finished product, assuring robust design of circuits and assemblies. The candidate will work in the design and trades of various component selections including Amplifiers, Mixers, Switches, and filters. They will design and conduct simulations in linear and EM simulators, develop schematics and layouts, conduct testing and integration, and see the product through production phases.

The individual should be self-motivated and be prepared to work with a focused team with an innovative mindset. The candidate must have a drive to learn and push the boundaries of technology.

Required Skills:
  • Must have at least 6 years of related technical experience in high speed mixed signal circuits
  • Hands on experience in the design, analysis, development, bread\u2010boarding, troubleshooting and testing of high speed mixed signal circuits
  • Experience with Signal & Power Integrity Analysis, Xilinx Vivado Design Suite, DAC Interfacing, DDR Memory Interfacing, SPI / BPI Configuration Topologies
  • Experience in RF software tools including: Keysight ADS, National Instruments AWR Microwave Office, Sonnet EM, Ansys HFSS, AutoCAD or comparable
  • Experience in lab equipment including: Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Pattern Generators, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters
  • U.S. Citizenship is required as this position will need a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance day one of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • Self-Motivated to Learn; Go Getter Personality

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in system\u2019s level software tools including Keysight Genesys or SystemVue
  • Experience working with Matlab
  • Mentor eXpedition or similar layout tools experience

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.

Desired Education:
  • Master\u2019s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
