Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to be Integrated Product Team Lead responsible for establishing and managing program’s schedule (IMS) and cost analysis, earned value metric systems (EVMS) baseline, monthly EACs & LRE reporting for both labor and material forecasting for large scale system-on-chip digital ASIC development.

You will continuously evaluate and mitigate team’s risk and opportunity management to resolve critical issues and ensuring on-target program milestones including PDR and CDR, manage the Baseline Change Request process if needed, optimize resource/staffing deployment, and contribute to technical interchange meetings with Customers.

You will work closely with the program manager, chief engineer, system engineering and system-on-chip development teams to develop a large custom ASIC (+100 million gates). Duties include:
  • Developing and owning a detailed IMS based schedule that meets program objectives, working with technical leads
  • Interfacing with the program manager and customer communities to ensure program objectives are achieved
  • Manage project execution of multiple functional disciplines across multiple sites across Raytheon
  • Interface with program management and chief engineer and creating presentations for weekly PPRs and monthly PMRs

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 8+ years of related work experience to include 6+ years of experience managing large design efforts as Integrated Product Team Lead preferred.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills. Experience presenting to and interfacing with customers (internal and external).
  • Ability to handle a dynamic environment and to coordinate actions, fast learner. Demonstrates initiative, ability to work independently towards program goals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as highly capable of functioning in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:
  • Managing large ASIC Design efforts
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience working proposals
  • Program Manager Level 5 Certification
  • Earned Value Management Certification

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related STEM discipline is required. 134548
