Job Description

Raytheon IIS Field Engineering is currently seeking four Field Engineers. This position will be responsible for the Coyote UAS weapon platform. The Field Engineers (FE) will be responsible for supporting/overseeing operation and maintenance activities of the Coyote UAS weapon system. The Field Engineers will oversee all installation, test, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for the Coyote UAS. The Field Engineers will assist in planning, performing data analysis, and supporting system integration and testing. This position is located in Tucson, AZ. The successful candidates will be required to work in Tucson, AZ to support Coyote testing activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with Depot Support maintenance; experience on C-UAS.
  • Electronics experience - familiar with the tools and test equipment commonly used in electronic installation, maintenance and testing.
  • UAS assembly, disassembly and repair experience
  • Experience with 1.4 explosives or gas generators.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to align priorities appropriately and work to completion.
  • Must possess excellent technical writing, oral communication and negotiation skills.


Desired Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a UAS maintainer/pilot.
  • Minimum 2 years experience with munitions handling/loading.
  • Logistical experience; knowledgeable in equipment tracking and shipment.
  • Knowledge of military protocol.
  • Past military experience highly desirable.
  • Past deployment experience in a combat environment a plus.


Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with a minimum of 4 years' experience, OR an Associates Degree with 8 years' of related experience OR High School and 12 years' of related experience. Training and experience may substitute for a degree.

Special Work Circumstances:

  • Extensive travel will be required.
  • Must be able to move and/or lift weights such as test equipment, ladders, tools, and cable reels weighing up to 60 pounds using proper lifting techniques or material moving equipment.



This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
