Job Description:

The Production Control Manager Position provides the management and coordination of one of the production control support teams for the McKinney CMC factory operations. This team is responsible for understanding and applying material management principles to ensure effective management of schedule requirement, managing factory demand profiles and balancing schedules. The team coordinates and evaluates program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services and reviews potential issues to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. The successful candidate must be able to analyze program contractual requirements and manage material shortages in order to utilize MRP to create monthly factory plans, while effectively meeting factory goals and delivery targets. The manager will collaborate and facilitate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, programs, and logistics. The Production Control Manager is responsible for ensuring capable resources are available to support program needs from the planning phase through product delivery. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures, tracking of key operational measures, and driving team performance and improvement opportunities. The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management, collaborate cross functionally on Integrated Product Teams, and coordinate activities between numerous groups including operations and program management, and lead projects to drive process improvement. The candidate needs to have demonstrated leadership skills in order to drive cross-functional teams to meet cost and schedule commitments, as well as drive MRP Performance metrics.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 8 years of combined experience in Operations, Program Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or Finance
  • Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization and influence effectively at multiple levels
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong data analytical abilities and problem resolution
  • Ability to set and work towards goals at a big picture level but effect change at a detailed operational level
  • Ability to translate functional actions and decisions into broad business impact
  • Sound business results orientation; ability to make data driven decisions with limited information
  • Ability to obtain DoD secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date
Desired Skills:
  • Understanding of Sales and Operations planning process and how it is connected to the production planning
  • Experience in supervising/team leadership and driving day-to-day activities of a team to meet organization and business objectives; Mentoring / People Development experience
  • Knowledge of government property controls and regulations
  • Six Sigma experience
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of DOD business environment and government contracting requirements
  • Working knowledge of Raytheon ERP systems including PRISM, APEX, ICMS, Rapid Response, Business Warehouse, VM and PDM (4+ years)
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Operations, Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or other related field)

Desired Education: Master’s degree (MBA or related field); APICS CPIM certification
