The Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS), Engineering & Technology Workforce Solutions (WFS) Program Transition Lead is responsible for defining, managing and executing the process of program transitions as needs significantly change across the business. The role requires partnering with Discipline Directors, Operation Managers, Department Managers and Program/Mission area Leaders to coordinate and track headcounts of personnel on transitioning programs, as well as ensuring transition plans are in place between transitioning and receiving programs. This includes working with the Dedicated Discipline Hiring Managers (DDHMs), PMs and across businesses to facilitate the placement of personnel into new roles / positions. The Lead will be responsible for providing accurate metrics and status of program transitions to IIS leadership. The role will also require providing support to the WFS team in assisting with various tactical and strategic engineering workforce planning tasks. This position will report to the WFS Senior Manager. It can be located in El Segundo, CA, Aurora, CO or Richardson, TX. The ability to obtain a clearance is required.

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills through experience leading a section, department or IPT in engineering, to include working personnel placement
  • Knowledge of engineering (system, software, hardware, etc) processes, metrics, life cycle/program phases and requirements, as well as skillsets across engineering disciplines
  • Familiarity with DoD, DHS, DoS, FAA or Intel Agencies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience interfacing with senior leaders
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage and track a significant amount of data across Mission Areas and Disciplines
Desired Skills:
  • Qualified R6-sigma specialist
  • PM Level 6+ certification
  • Familiarity with workforce planning and management tools, program management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project) and financial systems
  • Experience collaborating and coordinating with geographically dispersed leaders
Required Education (including Major):
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or other Discipline required. MS in Engineering or Technical Field or MBA preferred.
