Leadership opportunity in Raytheon Space and Airborne System’s (SAS) as a Section Manager with responsibilities in Dallas and McKinney, Texas, having significant impact, recognition, and growth in the organization. The Section Manager will lead a team of 10-20 direct reports within the Antenna and Microwave Products department. This department is responsible for design and analysis of antenna sub-systems, apertures, and radomes for a variety of applications. The engineers perform a variety of roles ranging from Principal Investigator (PI), Chief Engineer (CE), and Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to individual contributors producing design and analysis for a diverse array of products. The apertures range from single, narrow-band apertures to ultra-wideband arrays. The department is also responsible for overseeing fabrication and testing of radome and aperture products. The Section Manager will work on a variety of sub-systems or aperture and radome projects as he / she also supervises the other team members. The Section Manager will mentor and validate the work products of his / her team, while engaging in staff training and career development, assignment of employee job duties, and conducting performance reviews. The Section Manager will employ excellent written and oral communication skills, while directly supporting the Antenna and Microwave Products Department Manager in the execution of engineering goals. The Section Manager is also responsible for assisting in the assembly of department proposals with supporting Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and work product deliveries. The Section Manager will participate in program and peer reviews. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation and experience in systems engineering with specific knowledge in antennas, RF measurements, with associated best practice tools and processes for incorporation into the section.

Required Skills:
•Experience assisting proposal efforts, engineering reviews, and program / customer reviews
•Ability to provide staffing support to program teams through matrix organization
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
•Current DoD clearance

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Desired Skills:
•Minimum of 10 years related work experience; with at least 5 years with direct engineering leadership
•Solid understanding and experience in electrical engineering of antenna sub-systems, antennas, radomes, and RF measurements
•Familiarity with or proficiency in HFSS, ADS, SystemVue, and MATLAB
•Experience in Radar Cross Section analysis and design
•Proficiency in SENTRI, CST Microwave Studio and other CEM analysis tools
•Experience in planning and execution of work products including detailed program plans, statements of work (SOW), schedules, budgets, and Integrated Master Plans (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and Estimates at Completion (EAC)
•Experience engaging stakeholders in the development and execution of project work packages, with successful execution of scope, schedule, and budget.
•Proficiency in Earned Value (EV)
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics or related technical degree
BS and 10 years experience, MS and 8 years, PhD and 6 years

Desired Education: Master’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics or related technical degree
