Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking an Airborne EOIR Sensing and Targeting lead systems engineer to provide hands-on leadership to EOIR sensor development and production programs. Responsible for directly working and leading teams developing, integrating, testing, qualifying, and producing airborne targeting and surveillance sensor systems.

This position will be responsible for leading teams in technology insertion, production support, troubleshooting, CR resolution, yield improvement, and touch labor reduction initiatives across the product line. In addition, this position will be responsible for systems IPT leadership and/or control account management of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of six (6) years systems engineering experience
  • Demonstrated successful development, production, and deployment of EOIR airborne sensing systems
  • Demonstrated successful leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering design teams
  • Demonstrated production support and factory improvement initiative experience
  • Experience developing and controlling the technical baseline of a family of products
  • Experience with airborne systems requirements and interface development and management, and EOIR systems performance analysis
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain DoD Secret U.S. Security Clearance within one year of start date and will require the ability to access US only data systems
Desired Skills
  • Experience with EOIR laboratory and factory test systems development
  • Earned Value Management Control Account Management experience
  • Experience leading review boards across a family of production systems
  • Program Engineering and/or Program Management experience
  • Experience with governed product family and open systems architecture development
  • Strong technical writing and oral communication skills, including demonstrated customer technical leadership communication skills
Required Education
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited educational institution (i.e. Engineering, Physics, Mathematics)
Desired Education
  • Master of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited educational institution (i.e. Engineering, Physics, Mathematics)
