Perhaps your interests are in EO/IR optical or RF technology, sensor test, orbital mechanics, digital signal processing, space mission planning or any of the myriad of engineering disciplines that make space imaging a reality. Engineering and the sciences are the avenues we use to make innovative imaging products that protect our planet, explore our universe, and ensure our national security. Space imaging is a rapidly expanding field, and we seek your skills and imagination to grow in partnership with us.

We are the Raytheon Space Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) center. Our job is to ensure that from beginning to end, our products are properly engineered.

Roles:
The type of work you can do in the Raytheon SEIT organization depends on your level of experience and interests:

  • Perform modeling and simulation of space systems missions and equipment
  • Develop architectures, requirements, test strategies, and verification plans
  • Conduct test activities, such as verification of imaging performance, software, and environmental compatibility
  • Communicate status, results and recovery plans to management and engineering teams
  • Participate in system engineering reviews and engineering analysis of space systems
  • Support new business development efforts through participation in proposal generation


For Multi-Level Intern Requisitions:
This position can be a Salary Grade of G04, G05 or NUG based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

  • G04 (College Junior by Fall 2020) - must have completed 60 hours of college
  • G05 (College Senior by Fall 2020) - must have completed 90 hours of college
  • NUG (Post- Graduate-Masters-PhD by Fall 2020) - must have an Undergraduate Degree and currently enrolled or about to enroll in a Graduate Degree Program

Required Skills:

  • Must be a College Junior, Senior or Graduate student by Fall 2020
  • Demonstrated interest in systems engineering processes, including requirements definition, design, test planning, test execution, data analysis, and operations support
  • Multidisciplinary interest in the Engineering Design and/or Test of Optical and/or RF Systems and associated special test equipment.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Capable of effectively working in a team environment, often under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated desire to successfully pursue new challenges, improve and broaden technical skills, seek greater responsibilities, and increase individual value to the organization
  • Experience in Space Systems Engineering functions
  • Engineering experience with Space Imaging Technology
  • Modeling and simulation of Space Systems

Required Education:

  • Currently pursuing a BS Degree from an Accredited 4-year University and entering as a College Junior or Senior year OR pursuing a MS/ PhD by Fall 2020.
  • Must be working towards a Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • Must be appropriate grade level listed above.



This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate Government Agency for non-U.S. persons
