Job Description

Raytheon Missile Systems provides many different high-technology weapon systems solutions to our defense customers. The Systems Test Directorate at RMS is seeking candidates for the Integration & Verification Center to perform in the role of test engineer Systems Engineer II for multiple programs. . Our I&V engineers integrate the hardware and software elements of our developmental products and then test them to ensure they meet requirements and provide capabilities which are critical to the success of the warfighters in our military and those of our allies. In addition our team supports the introduction of the development efforts into the production line facilitating the smooth transition from Qualification into Production. The candidates will support Integration, Verification and Qualification Test planning, procedure development, hardware/software integration, and developmental testing tasks in both a lab and a field environment. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Able to engage and influence test objectives collaboratively with the Test Engineering team on the respective programs.
  • Support Consent to Ship, Test Readiness Reviews, Gate Reviews and hardware/software integration efforts as required by the program
  • Able to contribute to the build, integration and test activities associated with an End Item build
  • Able to draft and execute a test plan including capturing and recording all required test parameters as defined by the program.
  • Able to learn and adapt to new documentation methods and controls that support program objectives and are in compliance with established development principals.
Required Experience & Skills:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of professional technical/engineering experience in a test environment with emphasis in test planning and/or execution is preferred
  • Must be eligible for, or have active, DoD SECRET security clearance. Must have INTERIM SECRET clearance before start date.
  • Experience with workload management to include utilizizing resources effectively to satisfy requirements and implementation schedules
  • Experience with basic electronics, computers with strong mechanical skills
Desired Experience & Skills:
  • Four (4) years of professional technical/engineering experience in a test environment with emphasis in test planning and/or execution is preferred
  • Flexibility to use multiple engineering disciplines to innovate solutions to integration challenges
  • "Customer oriented” and driven to meet or exceed expectations
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Change Control Board Process and Failure Review (FRACAS) Process
  • Experience with disciplined processes for test, such as Consent to Ship or Test Readiness Reviews
  • Create integration and verification strategies to support efficiency improvements
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
  • Experience with integrating and fault isolating analog electronic, digital electronic, RF, and closed loop servo systems
  • Contribute to integration and verification strategies to support efficiency improvements

Required Education:

BS in Engineering or Related field (Majors: Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Software, Physics, Math or Systems).
