Job Description:
The Software Engineering Center is seeking an enthusiastic and highly capable Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex requirements, develop large scale software (board support package, libraries and applications), performing unit level and integration testing using state of the art tools for embedded applications. Understand complex software architecture in order to analyze and fix defects reported during software development phases and at customer site. Ability to understand and employ Raytheon software development process during each phase of the software development cycle.

Required Skills:
  • Experience developing embedded software utilizing C, C++, Ada or related tools/languages (either at school such academic project experience, or combined school and work experience, i.e. internship, co-op, etc.)
  • Completed coursework in the following areas:
  • Calculus for Engineers and Scientists
  • Physics for Engineers and Scientists
  • Software Engineering
  • Candidate should have appropriate courses and experience (work or school projects) that have prepared them to undertake real work and make a meaningful contribution in a professional software engineering environment
  • Candidate should be proficient with general purpose computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
  • Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
  • At least 1 Year Previous Software related co-op / internship experience
  • At least 1 Year working knowledge and experience in multiple phases of the software development life-cycle
  • Completed coursework or equivalent knowledge/experience in following areas:
    • Software Architecture, Signal processing, Data processing or related engineering activities
  • Agile/Lean, Continuous Integration, and similar development techniques
  • Software Integration
  • Assembly language
  • Algorithmic Fundamentals
  • Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks or equivalent development tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills and work habits
  • Good work ethic
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge towards assigned tasks
  • Ability to work well independently and in teams
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in customer interface and customer presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and highly ambitious
  • SAP/SAR Clearances

Required Education (including major):
  • Must have a BS / BA with a major in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or other related field by Summer 2020 or have graduated 18 months prior to start date.
