Job Description

The Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wireless-guided (TOW) Weapon System program in the Land Warfare Systems product line has an immediate opening for a TOW Finance Team Lead/ Principal Financial Analyst role to provide analytical support and financial oversight over medium rate, billion dollar missile production contracts. This role will require constant re-evaluation and updating of detail level forecasts with an emphasis on variance analysis and a focus on process improvements and resource optimization to minimize future variances and drive profitability.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Analyzing, summarizing, and inquire about material, labor, and cash receipt forecast inputs provided by other functional leaders and summarize into contract level forecasts
  • Support review and forecast of Bookings, Sales, Earnings and Cash forecast to Financial Planning
  • Summary contract level inputs and updates to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and 5-year sales objectives
  • Create and review contract performance information to help create and / or review & consolidate executive level financial performance presentations including EAC reviews, Product Line Reviews, and Corporate Operations reviews.
  • Review, analyze and inquire about manpower level loads for project and task performance for both firm and non-firm activities
  • Contribute to cross-functional teams with an emphasis on financial implications of team decisions and ensure finance team knowledge of program decisions
  • Develop, utilize and disseminate process improvement and tool improvement opportunities to enhance analytical opportunities for the entire finance team
  • Provide feedback, peer review and input to finance team work product of all types to help ensure appropriate messaging and focus
  • Provide training and mentoring to team members
  • Ad-hoc request support in a fast-paced environment
  • Support and analyze new proposal development with an emphasis on evaluation of performance assumptions relative to historical trends

The unique challenges of the TOW Weapon System program include:
  • Multiple factory production spanning several states
  • Complicated bills of material spanning 4 missiles variants
  • Overlapping production contracts

This role will require significant interaction with and knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Rplan
  • APEX
  • PRISM
  • Business Warehouse/ AO
  • PowerPoint

Do you meet these minimum skills requirements?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline and a minimum 6 years of related experience in financial analysis or related finance experience or a related MS degree and 4 related experience
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, Analysis and Powerpoint
  • Experience multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience improving processes and data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:
  • Working knowledge of APEX, PRISM and related financial systems
  • Working knowledge of IOT cost flows and supplier financing tools (PBPs, Progress Payments)
  • Negotiations support experience
  • Collaboration and influential communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
