Job Description:
The Environmental Test Lab (ETL) is responsible for providing environments for validating the suitability and performance of new engineering designs and products. ETL also supports other testing such as Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), evaluation, qualification, lot acceptance, and combined environment reliability testing. You would work as part of a team to provide mechanical engineering support for various environmental tests. This may include design of vibration test fixturing, design of climatic test support equipment, develop enhancements to improve performance of refrigeration and other equipment, upgrade controls systems, coordinate and/or schedule environmental tests, write calibration or test procedures, or other test support as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Mechanical/electrical design
  • Solid modeling experience
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810
  • Other useful skills would include refrigeration experience, welding experience, inventory control, calibration, and test
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Required Education (including major): Must have a MS / MA with a major in Mechanical Engineering or other related field by Summer 2019 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
