Job Description

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Contracts Specialist. The Contracts Specialist contributes to overall business performance by applying company policies and procedures to provide assigned programs with commercial support. The Contracts Specialist supports program execution from Gate 5 through to Gate 11, including providing administrative support to contract negotiations, contract management activities, supplier management and customer engagement, to deliver commercial support to enhance program performance in accordance with company policy, legal and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support in the management of assigned contracts/subcontracts for the program(s) including reviewing, drafting and negotiating simple agreements, including contract variations and confidentiality agreements
• Ensures contract documents are consistent with company policies and objectives, accurately reflects the agreement of the parties, and that the scope of work and acceptance criteria are fully understood
• Review, draft and negotiate simple agreements, including contract variations and confidentiality agreements
• Identify commercial risks, and support the development and implementation of solutions
• Support contract negotiations, including ensuring that all discussions are appropriately minuted and that any changes to requirements, scope or schedule are addressed with the customers and appropriately managed
• Provide support to program financial performance and requirements (e.g. prepare/approve invoices, monitor status of performance guarantees and financial undertakings)


Skills Experience and Qualifications

• Related previous experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated experience supporting customer requirements and meeting time critical deadlines
• Must be eligible to obtain an Australian security clearance, up to NV1
