Job Description

Job Description: Responsible for managing cost, schedule and technical performance of satellite subsystems, payloads and/or spacecraft. Communicates program status and forecasts with line management and stakeholders. Responsible for managing Civil, Commercial & International (CC&I) product line sole source and competitive contract proposals. Responsible for managing Customer-funded Research and Development (CRAD) and IRAD projects within the CC&I portfolio as assigned. Coordinates with CC&I leadership to report status, plans and accomplishments. Provides leadership functional staff in a non-supervisory role and works independently, as needed.

Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of related working experience; Minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering or research in a technical field and minimum of 2 years of experience/education in engineering management or 2 years experience in program/project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in teams or as an individual contributor.
  • Ability to lead/motivate project-oriented teams, peers and co-workers.
  • Ability to partner in matrixed organizations to ensure successful program execution.
  • Ability to move between strategic and tactical issues quickly.
  • US Citizenship is required as ability to access US only data systems is required.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience working directly with customers, especially government customers.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies in strategic thinking/strategy development, cultivating innovation, collaboration, and driving results
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
