Job Description

Raytheon SAS designs, develops, produces and supports a vast array of electro-optical/infrared sensors, active electronically scanned array/scanning radars, and various integrated systems solutions to provide customers with actionable information for strike, persistent surveillance, and special mission applications. Raytheon radar products are deployed by every branch of the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and several other government, commercial and international customers.

This position supports the MMC series of programs being executed in Raytheon North Dallas location. The program family is responsible for developing the secure boot capability, BIT, communication, and Operating System infrastructure for processing modules for the F-16 aircraft. The position requires a DoD Secret on day one plus the ability to obtain a Special Access program clearance.

This is a leadership position to fill both the role of the Software Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for the program and serve as the functional Section Manager for the software engineers supporting the program. The IPTL has leadership, budget, and schedule responsibility for execution of the software related functionality on the program. As the section manager, the candidate is responsible for the functional management (mentoring, career development, recognition, etc…) of the engineers in the section. The successful candidate will have a good balance of technical and management experience, good communication skills, and the ability to motivate and lead the team to successfully meet program commitments.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.


Required Skills: (Make as explicit as possible. These should not contain comparative or non-objective skills.)
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with the following:
    • Prior leadership leading software teams
    • Track record of meeting budget, schedule and technical capability commitments
  • Earned value management experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing low level real time embedded software
  • Ability to understand and communicate team status, remove team barriers, proactively mitigate risks, and dynamically adjust team execution to meet program needs
  • Ability to provide cross discipline, customer, and management coordination and communication
  • Existing DoD secret clearance with ability to obtain required program SAR clearance (Last clearance investigation should be 6 years or less)

Minimum Bachelor’s of Science degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
