Raytheon’s Secure Sensor Solutions mission area provides the US government and its allies the most advanced systems to navigate in challenging environments, identify and discriminate friendly and foe objects, and take the necessary action to ensure the warfighter has an unfair advantage.
Part of Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems business, S3 provides capabilities that enable critical tasks---from target identification, aircraft navigation, and target engagement.

The F/A-18 Spares Production and STE Development Program Manager is part of the Mission Readiness and Logistics (MR&L) Sustainment team. We help make sure that the radar does what the warfighter needs it to do, ensuring mission success and platform longevity.

S3’s MR&L organization is seeking a Program Manager to lead a highly skilled, geographically diverse cross-functional program team. This Program Manager position is responsible for the successful execution of the F/A-18 Spares Production Programs. This PM will be responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance on contract for multiple F/A-18 Spares programs. The PM will establish milestones, performance metrics, and evaluation controls to monitor adherence to program master plans and schedules. The PM will develop measures, metrics, controls, and associated reports that accurately measure progress and identify risk elements in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken, to ensure Raytheon meets contract commitments. This role involves managing diverse cross-functional teams, direct engagement with the government customer program office, and engagement with Raytheon leadership. ¬ This PM will also have profit and loss (P&L) and AOP accountability for F/A-18 Spares programs, and will be a key contributor to overall portfolio growth.

The goal is also for this PM to also contribute to F/A-18 MR&L STE development, and eventually achieve all of the above responsibilities for STE in addition to Spares.

Required qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of professional related working experience.
  • Minimum 2 years project/business management experience and demonstrated ability to work across multiple functional areas such as operations, engineering, contracts, supply chain, and finance
  • Experience with Program Management best practices and certification
  • Experience with business and project management tools and procedures (e.g. IPDS, EVMS, IMS/IMP, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts and EAC)
  • Experience with RTN financial practices (EAC, EV, Forecasting, SRO, AOP)
  • Earned Value (EVMS) experience, qualification and certification
  • Experience supporting company financial plan activities such as meeting projected sales, profit, and cash requirements
  • Experience establishing clear cost and schedule performance objectives for all functional IPT’s with full IPDS compliance
  • Experience preparing and presenting regular internal and customer status reviews including Ops reviews, Program Management Reviews, and EACs
  • Experience with proposal generation and contract/Gate execution
  • Must be highly organized and be an effective leader, communicator, decision maker and able to inspire teams to meet production targets
  • Knowledge of radar production
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and Special Access clearances

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) in a related field.

  • Production program knowledge & experience
  • System Integrity knowledge & experience
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
