Job Description

Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems business has an opening for a Principal Procurement Specialst

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating scheduled receipts from the Supplier after order placement to drive on-time deliveries to meet production needs
  • All Post Award Management thru Contract Close Out for Medium to High Complexity Purchase Orders (non-REPS scope)
  • Managing Supplier Performance (SRS)
  • Managing deliveries for a specified supplier group
  • Coordinating Strategic Business Reviews
  • Monitoring purchase orders through PRISM
  • Updating delivery information directly into PRISM MRP based on supplier input
  • Working with the supplier to help resolve delivery issues
  • Prioritizing shipments and receipts to properly support the business needs, including incoming inspection, stores, returned material, production attrition, and material expedites
  • Part time aspects of records management including local visits to Iron Mountain facility as well as analysis of records for retention and/or destruction
  • Required Skills:
  • 6+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Project Management, Engineering or Finance
  • Supply chain experience
  • Experience with MRP/ERP system e.g. SAP, APEX, PRISM
  • Must Attain Procurement Certification Level 4 within a year


Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of PRISM/APEX.
  • Trained in PRISM.
  • Working knowledge of Exostar.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in Import/Export and FAR regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of customer service experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in high dollar procurement requirements.
  • Computer experience (emphasis in Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Negotiations experience.
  • Experience with Supplier Relationships Management
  • Strong Negotiating Technique experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
