At Raytheon engineers focus on technology, innovation and Mission Assurance for existing and evolving customer mission needs in the areas of Air, Land, Sea, Space and Cyber for all markets. The Hardware Engineering Technical Lead at Raytheon develops technical roadmaps, writes technical proposals, and works with business development as well as all engineering disciplines to support a broad range of technical areas such as situational awareness, communications, border surveillance products, avionics, munitions and electro-optic infra-red (EOIR). Sample programs include the F-16, F-18, CH-53 and HH-60 aircraft displays and upgrades, ground vehicle displays, bomb racks, V-22 Lab capability upgrades, as well as launchers and pods on multiple platforms. This HW Technical Lead will also provide technical leadership on integrated product teams (IPTs). This role involves the integration of many areas of knowledge and expertise to create and support complex systems and requires a broad based understanding of the different areas of design. In addition this role at times will encompass leading design reviews and working with manufacturing to ensure the best possible product is delivered to the war fighter.

US Citizenship is required due to the candidate needing to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.

Required Skills:
•Broad based technical background with the ability to lead complex technical programs
•Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
•Technical leadership capabilities, includes the ability to lead the resolution of tough technical challenges
•Ability to build teams with diverse skill sets, acting at highest level of their discipline
•Ability maintain high performance in a highly dynamic, team based environment
•Experience developing technology roadmaps
•Experience working with the front end of the business; working with business development to capture new work
•Proven experience leading front end of the business type programs
•Experience developing proposals
•Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance US Citizenship required
•Six (6) years of related experience required

Desired Skills:
•Advanced technical degree
•Experience in proposal writing including cost estimation
•Knowledge of design practices
•Ability to assimilate inputs from multiple sources and derive design and operational requirements
•Capability to apply robust design principles

Required Education:
Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and six (6) years of related work experience.
