Job Description

Assured Systems (AS) is seeking a highly motivated Program Manager (PM) to lead a portfolio of programs within the AS product area. The portfolio will include sustainment as well as development opportunities. The PM will have the opportunity to learn about the AS products and technologies, to work with a well established, dynamic functional team and will have the opportunity to build networks with multiple customers as well as with other parts of the RTN Company.

This job will be based in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops customer relationships with multiple customers.
  • Support the development and sustainment of AS technology on various programs
  • Captures contract funding (external as well as IOTs) and develops a program structure to provide sustainment and development execution
  • Establishes and maintains key program metrics, defines program milestones/critical path/tactical direction and monitor adherence to program budgets and schedules ensuring program meets customer’s needs, schedule and financials as defined within the contract.
  • Identifies, actively manages and escalates the program risks and opportunities, in accordance with specific financial goals and obligations.
  • Uses approved program tracking control systems and reports that accurately measure progress, identifies potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken and ensures the meeting of Raytheon’s contractual commitments.
  • Preparation and presentation at weekly and monthly PPRs and PMRs with leadership
  • Contract proposal development and negotiations.
  • Management of internal organizational transfers (IOTs).
  • Provide leadership to multi-functional teams and key partners.
  • Focuses, evaluates, motivates and rewards the program team, enabling them to achieve desired results.
  • Often requires the ability to influence others outside of own job area and senior leadership.
  • Responsible for growing the program and its product(s) by working with the customer to identify any additional needs for AS products and technologies


Required Skills:

  • US Citizenship is required
  • Current DoD Secret Clearance and eligibility to obtain/maintain Special Accesses as required by the program is required
  • 10+ years related work experience
  • 2+ years in program management, project management or IPT leadership
  • Experience with Risk & Opportunity Management, Cost & Schedule Management, and Earned Value Management
  • Experience preparing, revising, updating and monitoring required documentation and analysis in compliance with contract requirements and Raytheon company standards
  • Ability to prepare and manage all required product lifecycle artifacts and reviews
  • Strong customer relationship skills
  • Highly organized and can keep track of details
  • Experience with Six Sigma or formal Process Improvement Techniques

  • Strong communications skills
  • Experience in the Contracting process
  • Experience integrating key business activities into a seamless project management plan leveraging best practices, people skills and cross utilization of assets


Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, business, or a related field.
