Job Description

Raytheon IIS is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to perform a wide variety of tasks relating to incoming and outgoing of equipment, parts, materials, and merchandise. Must be able to learn and execute the Logistics and Asset Management requirements of the United States military and government agencies according to Raytheon’s and the government's specifications. The Supply Chain specialist assists with the packing, and unpacking in accordance with established standards and procedures. Periodically involves some carpentry work along with lifting, movement and placement of heavy items by hand or with the assistance of material handling equipment (forklift, hand-truck or dolly). Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Must be able to adhere to all company policies and safety procedures – with continual training and guidance provided. Works with other team members to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Willingness to cross-train in different functions within the Logistics and Asset Management department to ensure timely completion of product to warehouse. Good communication skills to function in team environment. Must be computer literate with ability to process packing labels (label creation) and update status. Performs an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Essential duties and responsibilities
• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Some Carpentry skills are needed to build crates
• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Open bales, crates and other containers and must be willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs on a regular as needed basis
• Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory
• Prepare and stage parcels for shipping
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Wear the proper safety equipment and must be willing and able to follow established standards and procedures with the ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasking work environment
• Must be willing and able to routinely lift, move and place heavy items by hand or with the assistance of material handling equipment (hand-truck or dolly)
• Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance or (Active)
• Proven ability to be flexible and adaptive to learning new job responsibilities and tasks as required within the SCM Logistics & Asset Management department.

Qualification requirements
• High School diploma or equivalency, plus 6 years experience required
• Good communication, organizational and time management skills
• Dependable and Reliable
• Inventory, data entry and computer skills may be required
• Ability to perform inventory controls, research, execute transactions, keep quality standards high for government & internal audits and track material in databases
