    The Systems Architecture Design and Integration Directorate (SADID) is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). The more than 1,100 employees of SADID provide requirements definition and design at the system, subsystem and component level every day in a collaborative environment which is characterized by respect for the individual, problem solving in a team setting, consensus oriented solutions, and results based recognition. Supporting this mission are teams providing domain expertise and creative solutions in surveillance, naval and missile defense based radar system design, sonar and undersea sensor system design, integrated air and missile defense systems engineering, command and control/battle management system design, combat system and platform architecture design and integration, operational analysis and simulation modeling research and development, software intensive system engineering, cyber solutions and algorithm development for signal processing, tracking and discrimination systems.     The Operations Analysis and Simulation (OAS) Department within SADID has a charter to conduct analyses and support programs across the IDS portfolio, including surface Navy, undersea Navy, missile defense sensors, interceptors, command and control, integrated air and missile defense systems and space surveillance systems. The work is classified and the candidate must have at least a DoD SECRET clearance.

    Responsibilities:
    Systems or Software Engineer to serve as Product Owner for SADID organization at Schriever AFB, CO. The Product Owner will be responsible for managing the product backlog including coordinating estimates for tasks, determining OSM build content in coordination with Government customer and Team and coordinating with Scrum Master and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads. The engineer may participate in activities to include interfacing with stakeholders, development of systems engineering plans and processes, reviews of product deliverables, and interfacing with task/product leads in producing quality reports/products. The engineer will provide analysis and quick-turn support for various MDA events. The engineer will support integration of the sensor model with existing external simulation frameworks, and element models/systems. The engineer will create presentations that describe and demonstrate advanced algorithms as implemented in the sensor model for a variety of audiences.


    Required Skills:
    • Must have an active Secret security clearance.
    • Product Owner certification and experience working in an agile software development environment.
    • Knowledge of system/software development life cycles and agile development practices.
    • Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, and/or Linux operating systems.
    • Experience with System / Software Integration and Test activities.
    • Ability to work at a government facility within a multi-contractor team environment.
    • Ability to collect/present agile metrics
    • Ability to configure, modify, and use plug-ins Agile Development Tools such as Jira/Gitlab
    • Strong Product Owner knowledge demonstrated using Agile Development Tools such as Jira/Gitlab
    • Strong verbal/written communication skills.

    Desired Skills:
    • Missile defense experience. Knowledge of MDA elements and fielding configurations.
    • Tools experience: Linux/Unix, MS Office, DOORS, MySQL, DoDAF, Software architecture/design/coding experience, Radar Modeling/Analysis, knowledge of discrete event simulations
    • Familiarity with MatLab, Nagios, ClearQuest, ClearCase, Oracle, MySQL, and SharePoint, or related applications.
    • C++ experience
    • Java experience
    • Experience with model-based systems engineering
    • Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
    • Ability to perform trade studies to optimize system performance
    • Knowledge of system architectures, networks, and operations.
    Required Education:
    • BS/BA in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

    Note: This position can be a Salary Grade G09 or Salary Grade G10 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

    This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
