Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is an innovator and provider of the AESA Electronic Warfare and Tactical Airborne Radar Systems. These Products enable the US warfighters an edge over their adversaries. The Antenna Products Section within SAS Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) is seeking a talented Principal Electrical Engineer to lead an Integrated Product team. The HWEC department in Forest CMC provides engineering support to Electronic Warfare Systems and Tactical Airborne Products in Antenna Subsystems integration/test, Special Test Solution design, Antenna measurements (NF, FF indoor/outdoor, & Compact ranges), and develop RF subsystems tests solutions. This position is for Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) facility in Forest, MS.

The engineer will work with team of engineers to develop and evaluate test processes, special test equipment, analysis tools and test requirements for Antenna Products.
The individual should be self-motivated and be prepared to work with a focused team with an innovative and schedule-oriented mindset. The candidate is expected to lead multi-disciplined teams, and must have a drive to learn and push the boundaries of technology.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Antenna Subsystem and Array performance Analysis, Electromagnetic Analysis, Array Calibration, Integration, and Test.
  • Developing IV&V plans, procedures and reports.
  • Performing root cause analysis and resolution of test failures.
  • Collaborating with other groups to ensure product under test meets design and performance requirements.
  • Participating in internal design review of Prime Hardware and test environment.
Required skills:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in design or testing of antenna, radar systems or related.
  • Proven experience in testing, troubleshooting and performing failure analysis on RF/MW Products.
  • Must have experience with either one of these electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, CST, ADS) and extensive use of MATLAB.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain Secret Clearance within the first year of employment are required.
Desired Skills:

  • General knowledge of systems engineering and integration processes for Radar and Electronic Warfare Systems.
  • Experience in Nearfield and Far-field Antenna measurement and data analysis.
  • Strong skills and experience performing analysis of technical data.
  • Experience with RF network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
  • Excellent communication skills including report writing and presentations.
Required Education:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Math, or equivalent discipline in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
Desired Education:

  • MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Math, or equivalent discipline in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
