Job Description

Senior Program Manager responsible for Next Generation Missile Warning Software Apps program capture and execution. The Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) effort is a modernization activity supporting Space Warfighting Construct.

FORGE is comprised of three major thrusts FORGE Command and Control (C2), FORGE Mission Data Processing (MDP), and associated Relay Ground Stations (RGS). FORGE C2 migrates Mission Management (MM); Telemetry, Tracking, and Commanding (TT&C); and Ground Control (GC) for Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) onto a
C2 common platform, Enterprise Ground Services (EGS). FORGE develops modular mission applications for SBIRS and other OPIR systems onto a government owned framework. This is the largest ($100M+) mission Apps franchise contract pursuit in space systems and extends our legacy mission domain experience into the next decade as well as positions Raytheon onto all components of the US Gov’t Strategic Missile Warning Franchise.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide top-level leadership in development and execution of the FORGE program: 5 year financial plans, AOP, assigned investment resources, IPDS gates as various other duties as assigned for this large pursuit.
  • Routinely brief senior leadership – internal and external, manage customer engagement, and proposal development
  • Provide leadership to IPTL’s to ensure that contract deliverables are met, customer satisfaction is strong, and other costs are minimized.
  • Employ appropriate Program Management Best Practices and tools.
  • Represent FORGE at Program Management Reviews and Program Performance Reviews.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback to direct and indirect reports.
  • Represent the company to the customer, provides program status to customers, gathers "voice of the customer" information and customer assessment data to share with the team for use in solution development.
  • Build and maintain relationships and networks with other companies and with other RTN businesses as required
  • Promote and brand Space Systems in national symposiums, conferences, trade shows or other venues.
Required Skills:
  • 15+ years of related working experience in Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain or other related field utilizing in-depth Earned Value Management principles.
  • Direct experience working on software and space development programs.
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Ability to access US Only Data Systems is required
  • Current DoD Top Secret Security Clearance is required
  • Must obtain conditional Program Management Certification, accordance with RP-248; external equivalent certifications will be considered.

Desired Skills:
  • Air Force (SMC) customer and Missile Warning/OPIR mission experience
  • Familiarity with DevOps and OPIR data processing
  • Current CI Poly
  • Advanced Technical degree

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science or related technical discipline

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
