Job Description

The Raytheon Mobile Range® team, based in Albuquerque, NM, are leaders in mobile flight test support, precision RF tracking sensors, systems, and solutions, precision multi-spectral optical tracking systems, satellite systems support and tracking, complex system integration, software and automation, and document production supporting all program phases from concept development through to operational support and fielding exercises. Key growth opportunities within the team include engineering and management positions associated with new major program awards associated with complex system of systems integration and multi-spectral optical programs.


Description:

The chosen candidate will be able to work in a team environment, display ethical character and commit to both Raytheon Company and Raytheon customers while providing exceptional engineering products. S/He will have a broad understanding of RF theory and design, system level simulations, electrical sub-system test and analysis, electrical circuit design and system level interfaces. In addition, the candidate must be capable of operating appropriate test equipment to validate and troubleshoot designs. S/he will be responsible for continually striving to maintain the most up to date knowledge of technological advances within the field and industry. S/He will be able to work in both a lab, office or field environment from system design to system build.


Required Education/Skills/Experience:
  • BS in Engineering, Science or Mathematics
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a related field
  • Experience with schematic capture, SPICE simulation, and layout of mixed signal and/or power supply Circuit Card Assemblies
  • Experience with MATLAB, VHDL, and C#
  • Experience using RF test equipment such as: Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators
Desired Education/Skills:
  • Knowledge in electronic emissions and TEMPEST standards and specifications for military applications
  • RF and/or Optical antenna design, modeling, construction and integration
  • Fluency with FAA standards and regulations, military TRLs (Test Readiness Level)
  • Experience in end to end tracking system modeling to include gimbal performance, network latency constraints, and operator feedback incorporation.
  • Able to implement design, perform simulation and analysis and test FPGA architectures as a single entity or within an assembly.
  • RF antenna design, modeling, construction and integration
  • Fluency with FAA standards & regulations, and military TRLs (Test Readiness Level)
  • Microprocessor hardware design and coding

Clearance Requirements:
Able to obtain a security clearance
