Job Description:
This is an opportunity to join the Intelligence, Information and Services Financial Planning & Analysis Team in Dulles, VA.
This position is responsible for consolidating, analyzing and providing recommendations for the bookings, sales, profit and cash forecast. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and 5 Year Strategic Plan. This includes supporting leadership with continuous improvements in element of cost forecasting by providing actionable information, proactive communication, and on-time accurate data delivery. Additionally this individual will be responsible for improving processes with a focus on consolidation, automation, and simplification to provide succinct information for management review.

The selected candidate would also be responsible for developing models to assess financial performance, identifying and tracking metrics such as sales trends and margin analyses. The selected candidate ensures that consolidated information is accurate and complete for the monthly forecasting process, monthly operating reviews (MORs), and Strategic and Annual Operating Reviews.
The selected candidate will work under tight deadlines and constraints. As a strategic business partner, the successful candidate will collaborate to ensure the successful execution of monthly Operating Reviews, as well as AOP forecasting and maintenance.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor degree and 2+ years of directly-related professional financial work experience
  • Experienced user of SAP accounting system
  • Strong Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple levels of financial, engineering, and program management

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of accounting for Government contracts

Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field of study
