Job Description

Raytheon has a new exciting opportunity located in our Andover, MA office. We are seeking a proven, high performing administrative professional to fill a key Senior Executive Assistant role. This role will support the Sr. Director of Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), Director of Modernization and Innovation, and the Director of Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) Program Operations in the Integrated Defense division of Raytheon.

In this dynamic and fast-paced role you will partner and collaborate with other Executive Assistants and business leaders to understand and execute business priorities in a proactive manner. The ability to build relationships, exercise good judgment and work across the Raytheon matrix is critical. The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of how the Executive Assistant role can support business operations performance.


The Executive Assistant will support all daily business administrative and coordination responsibilities, including preparation of presentations and reports, arranging meetings, tracking expenses and arranging travel, management of calendar and email/priorities, interfacing with external customers, and visiting dignitaries and performing special projects as required. This position will manage telephonic communications and perform other administrative tasks as necessary to promote effective and efficient operation of the department. The successful candidate must have the ability to understand the workflow of the organization and add value by being able to prioritize meeting requests and respond to phone calls on behalf of the Directors.


Responsibilities include:


  • Coordinate materials prior to meetings and ensure pre-briefs are set up prior to, when appropriate
  • Proactively identify ways to enable greater productivity and efficiency in role
  • Generate charts, tables, memoranda, reports, correspondence and other materials with speed and accuracy
  • Coordinate domestic/complex international travel arrangements and prepare expense reports
  • Coordinate and host customer visits and employee engagement meetings
  • Calendar and email Management, assist in setting and keeping priorities
  • Establish and manage follow- up system to ensure deadlines and action items are met
  • Coordinate monthly reports and other regular reports/briefs as needed
  • Ability to work overtime as required


Required Skills:


  • 8+ years of professional administrative experience supporting a senior leader in a large organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office suite tools (MS Outlook, MS Word, Power Point, Excel)
  • Experience with calendar management, meeting scheduling and coordination, planning events, expense reports, and data reports.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating complex domestic and international travel




Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Raytheon's business, Policies and Procedures (Business Travel, Business Courtesies, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with: APEX Time Recording, Expense Reporting Systems, Internet search engines and map/direction utilities, suite of software applications
  • Professionalism, Discretion, Sensitivity, and Flexibility
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Raytheon visitor request/registration systems
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work within a multi-tasking environment and stay on top of task deadlines and due dates
  • Demonstrated experience synthesizing data into information
  • Possess professional presence and phone/reception skills
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated experience with handling confidential and non-routine information
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with senior levels of leadership effectively and professionally
  • Demonstrated experience handling multiple tasks concurrently and making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidate must have good judgment and take initiative to complete tasks in a self-directing manner
  • Candidate should also demonstrate attention to detail, have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changes in priorities in a fast-paced environment


Required Education:

High School diploma or equivalent
